Post-Construction & Renovation

A post-construction and renovation cleaning is a deep, detailed cleaning service performed after construction or remodeling work. It focuses on removing dust, debris, and leftover materials, ensuring the space is safe, clean, and ready for use.

A post-construction/renovation clean entails a different level of cleaning than deep or maintenance primarily because of the materials used like drywall and construction dust or sheetrock dust.

Construction dust is a difficult process that requires multiple steps on one surface; it does not all come up with one method; it first has to be vacuumed, then wet washed and then dry wiped—often more than once to get the surface fully clean.

Construction/sawdust is a tricky one, think glitter…it just keeps showing back up! This process typically includes multiple phases:

Post-Construction Cleaning

1. Rough Cleaning (Initial Phase)

  • Debris Removal: Collecting and disposing of leftover materials like wood scraps, drywall dust, nails, and packaging
  • Dust Removal: Using industrial vacuums and dry dusting to eliminate heavy dust accumulation on surfaces
  • Sweeping & Rough Vacuuming: Clearing out floors to prepare for final finishes
  • Sticker & Label Removal: Taking off protective stickers from windows, appliances, and fixtures.

2. Detailed Cleaning

  • Dusting & Wiping Down All Surfaces: Walls, ceilings, baseboards, doors, and trim; Cabinets, shelves, and built-in storage (inside and out)
  • Floor Cleaning: Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping all floor types; Removing paint splatters, grout haze, or adhesive residues
  • Glass & Window Cleaning: Washing windows, glass doors, and mirrors (including frames and tracks); Removing smudges, stickers, and dust buildup
  • Bathroom & Kitchen Sanitization: Scrubbing sinks, countertops, and fixtures; Deep cleaning tubs, toilets, and showers; Polishing stainless steel and chrome finishes
  • Vent & Air Duct Cleaning: Wiping air vents
  • Light Fixtures & Electrical Outlets: Dusting and removing debris from fixtures, switches, and outlets
Final Touch-Up Cleaning

3. Final Touch-Up Cleaning

A follow-up cleaning a few days later may be necessary if dust continues to settle. This includes:

  • Re-wiping surfaces
  • Spot-cleaning floors and glass
  • Re-checking for any overlooked debris

This type of cleaning requires professional-grade equipment and supplies to handle fine dust, paint splatters, and construction residues effectively.
